Welcome to the Cast-A-Ways Total Length Walleye Tournament! Our goal is to provide a fun, fair, and competitive Photo Catch & Release event while promoting ethical fishing and safe boating.
Tournament Format
Photo Catch & Release tournament.
Each team may submit their five (5) longest walleyes.
Winners are determined by the combined total length of their five longest fish.
Maximum of 10 teams.
Registration is first come, first served.
Tournament Payout (Based on 10 Teams)

🥉 3rd Place: $75
Check-In
All teams must check in at the dock with Ryan before launching.
QR Code cards are NOT required for this tournament.
Fish Submission Rules
Each fish submission must include:
One (1) clear photograph.
Fish placed on a bump board with the nose firmly against the stop.
Mouth completely closed.
Photo taken directly overhead (90°).
Entire fish and measurement clearly visible.
All fish submissions are AI validated and then reviewed and confirmed by Ryan before being officially scored.
Tip: Take the photo, save it to your phone, and then submit it through the tournament website. Additional instructions for using the submission app will be sent to all registered participants before tournament day.
Tournament Rules
Strict two-person maximum per boat.
U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets are required for all participants while on the water.
Every participant is responsible for knowing and following all Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) fishing and boating regulations.
Any violation of Minnesota DNR regulations or tournament rules may result in penalties or disqualification.
Commissioner Authority
The League Commissioner is responsible for administering this tournament.
The Commissioner has the authority to:
Interpret tournament rules.
Verify fish submissions.
Resolve disputes.
Assess penalties or disqualifications.
Make all final decisions regarding scoring, standings, and tournament results.
The Commissioner's decisions are final and binding.
Liability Waiver
Participation in this tournament is voluntary and at your own risk.
By entering, each participant acknowledges that boating and fishing involve inherent risks, including injury, death, property damage, equipment loss, changing weather conditions, and other hazards.
Participants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Cast-A-Ways Walleye League, the League Commissioner, volunteers, sponsors, and tournament organizers from any liability, claims, damages, injuries, losses, or expenses arising from participation in this tournament or while traveling to or from the event.
Each participant is solely responsible for the safe operation of their boat, the conduct of their passengers, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
